You’re In Control.


At Elite One Athlete, we believe a cash-based model benefits our patients the most. We want you to not only feel better and get back to baseline, we want you to exceed and get back to doing what you love. By taking insurance, we would not be able to do that. Once your pain is low (not even 0/10) and your range of motion is “acceptable” (not even functional), insurance often will say you are better and they will no longer pay. We believe that this is something for the patient and the clinician to decide, not someone that has never met you.



Most Time Efficient.


Because you will be seen one-on-one with a doctor of physical therapy, your sessions will be more effective. There will be no waiting around for the PT to finish up an exercise or manual technique with another patient so you can get right on in to the therapy technique. Because of this, you will only need to be seen for physical therapy one, maybe two times a week. That means less time spent in therapy the day of, less time spent in traffic, and less time in the duration of your physical therapy program! After each session, you will be provided with a digital exercise plan of your home exercise program with daily reminders if you choose. You will feel better quicker with a smaller time commitment!



More Cost Effective

Here’s the kicker! Opting for a cash-pay model, patients will often spend less money out of pocket! Here’s why…



Let’s say you go to an in network clinic. Because you only get to see the PT about 10-15 minutes of that session, you come in 3 times a week with the average copay of $75 ($225/week in co-pays). You stay on the plan of care for an average of 12 weeks ($2,700 in co-pays for the 3 months of therapy). You complete your therapy and receive a bill for an average of another $600 in fees the insurance company does not pay ($3,300). Meanwhile, none of this is covered because you have not met your ($5000?) deductible. This means you’re in therapy for 3 months, have paid an average $3,300 in bills that are not covered because your deductible has not been met, and you may or may not feel a little bit better.

Now let’s say you take the cash-pay approach. You buy a package of sessions upfront, none of which cost as much as the amount in co-pays and bills. You get quality one-on-one care with a doctor of physical therapy for typically one session a week. In that one session, you are already spending more time with your doctor of physical therapy than you would in 3 sessions at an in network clinic. Not only are you paying less, you are having more time with your physical therapist which results in fewer months in rehab and fewer trips in traffic to the clinic. On top of that, upon request we will provide you with a “superbill” with your appropriate codes that can be submitted to insurance for possible further reimbursement. If that isn’t enough, you can also pay using an HSA or FSA account using pre-tax dollars. Better quality of care, less time, less money.
